Advanced Target Technologies Releases Tactical Software version 2.70
Featuring a New Suite of Tactical and Cognitive Drills Designed to Test Decision, Speed and Shot Placement.
Advanced Target Technologies, makers of the live-fire digital Lumatic target, released a major software version containing a number of new tactical drills for firearms trainers, law enforcement and military aimed at presenting new software capabilities never before seen in shooting targets. The new software release, version 2.70, was designed to digitize existing station work drills like the Bill Drill or El Prezidente as well as to develop rich dynamic shoot house scenarios.
The Lumatic target is a live-fire digital target wirelessly controlled via an app on your mobile device that illuminates in various colors to indicate various threat levels and threat states. The illumination is projected through a self-healing reflective polymer and is capable of taking dozens of hits before needing replacement.
When shooting on the Lumatic target platform, while the drill scenario remains the same, the random behavior of the targets always forces the shooter to scan the entire field rather than focus on a single target. Some of the features and drill additions include: Hostage Drills Designate any set of Lumatic targets as hostages. Place those targets overlapping the threat targets. When the drill sequence runs, it lights up hostage targets as white indicating a no-shoot and lights up threats as red indicating a shoot.

Shoot/No Shoot Drills
Now run cognitive drills requiring shooters to take accurate and timely shots on hostile targets while avoiding friendlies. This type of drill may present challenge targets in yellow designed to train shooter in de-escalation techniques.
Digitally Recreate Common Tactical Shooting Drills
Drills such as the Check drill, NOW drill, combat reload drills and others can be easily recreated within the app, saved, and called up again within the drill menu. The additional benefit of the Lumatic target platform is random threat presentation. Typical drills shoot the same set of targets on each repetition. The Lumatic platform presents random targets on each repetition. Configuration options include setting number of threats, time limits on each threat, number of hits to disengage threat, speed of drill, etc.
Run multiple lanes with a single button
Instructors can now easily drill a class of shooters with the single press of a button. Run up to 4 shooters on a lane at a time, giving each shooter a pair of targets with each target providing random threat response. Easily reset the field of targets and restart the drill with one button press.
